Gran Canaria Airport means a relevant connection to travel to West Africa (Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, Cape Verde, among others), and to the Atlantic Isles of Azores and Madeira. It operates with 60 airlines and is the operative base for NAYSA, Binter Canarias, Canaryfly, Ryanair, Vueling Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle. Other airlines operate a base for connecting charter flights to Cape Verde and Gambia but only in winter season.
